Sam Dechenne

Sam Dechenne, Trumpet - of Boston, MA has a trumpet performance degree from the Berkelee College of Music. While in school, he studied and performed with Tiger Akoshi and performed the National Anthem at Fenway Park. An active freelancer, he performs with Egguie Castillo’s big Band and does studio recording for local independent films. He has toured Japan with the Mokoto Takanaka Big Band, Matagaskar with the band Fikira, and will be traveling soon to perform in Uruguay. He also traveled the U.S. with Zade Dirani and an international orchestra on their “Roads to You Tour”. Sam appeared as a musician in the movie “Bachelor Number Two” starring Kate Hudson, Alec Baldwin and Chris Rock. He also performs with and writes for his own jazz group “Of an Oak”.
