Founded in 1990, Quintessential Brass has performed in churches, concert halls, bandstands and gazebos across New England. Members of the group have performed individually with well-known orchestras and musicians around the world, on National Public Radio and Television, and at such venues as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center.

Though originally formed to play brass classics, their common love for jazz and popular music has led Quintessential Brass to push the role of the brass quintet to the limit - and beyond. Specializing in such varied repertoire, Quintessential Brass maintains a very busy performance schedule of concerts, ceremonies, special events and private parties.
