|
| Never Love Him. Always Beware of His Subterfuge |
Never ever ever tempt the Devil. Look what happened when the Lord God tempted Satan. His most righteous man
on earth did suffer with major consequences. But you may ask, "Quase, why would God do such a thing to Job, his most faithful
servant?" Well my innocent one, your Pastor or Padre will tell you that God was testing Job and that God tests
us all to see if we will be strong and choose good over evil. That may be so, but in light of that, Quase says, "So in other
words, God is the Good Cop who will on occasion attempt to entrap you, and he lets Satan, the Bad Cop, do the dirty work."
Wow! What a routine! I could swear I've seen that on NYPD Blue, haven't you? "Well," says Quase, "You should read a book
that one of my friends has written. It's called Answer to Job, by Carl Gustav Jung . I asure you that once you have carefully read this book you'll see the world in a very different
light. I really do not want to say anymore, I'd spoil it for you. But I must say that this short work is a major piece of
genius and insight. It is one of Quase's all time favorites."

You all know about the Book of Job right? "There once was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job;
and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil........................... Now there was a
day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. And the Lord said to
Satan, 'From where do you come?' So Satan answered the Lord and said, 'From going to and fro on earth, and from walking back
and forth on it.' Then the Lord said to Satan, 'Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth,
a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?' So Satan answered the Lord and said, 'Does Job fear God for
nothing? Have you not made a hedge aroung him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed
the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now stretch out Your hand and touch all
that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!'
So the Lord said to Satan, 'Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.' Then Satan
went out from the presence of the Lord."
