Chess Doctor Who style. Released in 1992 the MBI chess set featured Who heroes and villains including an Ice Warrior.

The pieces were as follows: Row 1 left to right: TARDIS, Jamie, The Brig., Leela, Kamelion, Adric, TARDIS. Row 2: K9(white pawns.) Row 3: The seven Doctors. Row 4: Daleks (black pawns.) Row 5: Sontaran, Sea-Devil, Draconian, Master, Rani, Cyberman, the aforementioned Warrior, and a Sontaran.

I'm sure the Seventh Doctor would approve.

An Ice Warrior from   Destiny of the Doctors

To defeat The Master you must know your enemy. Information concerning all the Doctor's enemies is accessible via the Master's and Doctor's TARDIS controls. Each of the Doctor's foes has different strengths and weaknesses. You must learn them and turn them to your advantage. 

Destiny of the Doctors takes you from environments like the Swimming Pool to inside the Doctor's brain, to the London Underground, to deep space . . . 

To play Destiny of the Doctors you will need a multimedia PC with a P90 processor or better, twin speed CD-ROM, Sound Blaster 16-bit audio card (or 100% compatible), Windows 95, and at least 50 MB of free disk space. Mac version not available.

Sevans Model Kit

In addition to finely detailed models of Daleks, Cybermen and K-9,  Sevans has also produced a wonderful model of an Ice Warrior. 

The Sevans Ice Warrior stands at least fifteen inches tall when complete and comes with a choice of head and authentic body fur for added realism. Kit includes dozens of components. All parts included, glue and paint required.

Harlequin makes a range of pewter miniatures based on several different characters and creatures from Doctor Who. There is a miniature of the Doctors, Jamie, Zoë, Sarah Jane, Ace, a Yeti, a Dalek, a Sea-Devil two versions of the Cybermen and an Ice Warrior, among others. 

The Ice Warrior miniature is a portly fellow with a maniacal grin. He stands 1½ inches tall (on base) and comes unfinished.

Harlequin plans to increase the range to over 120 miniatures. They also plan to produce a series of skirmish based combat games to accompany that "small" army. For more information and pictures of the other miniatures, visit the Harlequin Miniatures website.

In 1975 Weetabix breakfast cereal released sets of cardboard stand-up figures in packets of cereal. One set featured an Ogron, a Dalek and a Draconian along with an Ice Lord named Saarl, an Ice Warrior and Alpha Centauri.

Two years later Weetabix ran another Doctor Who related promotion using cut-out figures. This time the cut-outs were pieces in an adventure board game. One set of pieces featured Vega Nexos, Aggedor and Blor from The Monster of Peladon.

Not content with figures of the Doctor, Mel, Tetraps and Daleks, Dapol also introduced an Ice Warrior to their range of action figures. 

The Dapol Ice Warrior is a bit thinner than your average Martian, with a head that can only be described as "oddly shaped". It has jointed arms and legs and comes well equipped with a sonic wrist gun plus a lethal looking, and green rifle that looks more like something one of Kenner's Star Wars figures might carry than the sonic rifle Ssorg had in The Curse of Peladon.

Still, all in all the Ice Warrior action figure makes a fine, and green, addition to the Dapol collection.
