The Pomona Valley Model Railroad Club got its start in 1959
under the name of West Covina Brotherhood of Model
Railroaders. The original Club was located in West Covina
moving to San Dimas a short time later.
In 1977, the club moved to its Pomona location where the layout
had evolved over it's twenty seven year life. Alas, were
forced to dismantle our layout in 2005 due to be evicted by the
new landlord wishing to convert our building to loft apartments.
We found a new home in the second floor of the VFW just a
couple of blocks away. Unfortunately, that was not to last
since the post was closed down by the National VFW.
A decision was made in 2009 by the organization to disband
our organization and liquidate the assets amongst the remaining
members . It is our sincere hope to secure a new facility
sometime in the future and to rebuild our layout to the grandeur
it once had.
