Palm Sunday 2008

Palm Sunday Blessing of the 2008 Easter Gift Bags
given to the Women Survivors of Domestic Violence
in our area shelter houses.

March 31, 2007

A joyful meeting that brought us together to create
the twelve gift bags for
the Women Survivors of Domestic Violence
in the area's shelter homes.
Each year we have done this and it brings so much joy to our hearts to be able to do this for them.  We raise funds throughout the year and then go shopping!  The gift bags were blessed with a prayer on Palm Sunday, lead by our Pastor with Ladies Fellowship President Carolyn Child and former President Kathie Nelson.  The bags are then taken to be delivered to United Service and they distributed them to the ladies.  We have gotten wonderful news from them of how much they enjoy this.  Some of the items placed in the bags are:  bath towels and facecloths, toothbrushes + toothpaste, handmade drawstring cloth bags, journals, pens, daily planners, alarm clock radio's, disposible camera's, toiletries, soaps, lotions, sewing kits, Daily Bread readers for Spring, Phone calling cards, personalized cards and soft little lambs!
We pray that these will help them to know God loves them
as they begin a new life.

Blessing has increased to Christmastime!
