My first Confrontation force

WOLFEN OF YLLIA

In the age when the gods still walked on Aarklash, the goddess Moon gave her blessing to the most powerful of the wolves. He became the First-Born, the ancestor of the noble and savage race of the Wolfen.

Ages have passed. Whole empires have been founded and have fallen into oblivion. Vain warlords fight amongst themselves for their few lines in the annals of history. But the Wolfen have remained faithful to the eternal cycle of nature that has made them the continent’s greatest predators.

Alas, the age of the Rag’narok has befallen Aarklash, bringing with it the corruption of Darkness and the promise of a war without mercy. Anger consumes the heart of the Wolfen and obscures their pure soul. The war packs are growing in number. Those who once fought for domination now struggle for the very survival of their race.

The Wolfen of Yllia are allied with the Daïkinee elves.

The first Dayton Confrontation tournament was held at Wexford Hill Hobbies on September 17th, 2005. I was extremely surprised and pleased to come out the overall winner, running a Red Oaks wolfen list.

The third Dayton Confrontation tournament was held at Wexford Hill Hobbies on April 8th, 2006. I was extremely pleased to come out the winner of the best painted, though it was a small tournament and very few painted armies present.

NACORD National Championship, 8/11/06, 3rd place

In the NACORD National Championship on August 11th, 2006, I managed to get a third place victory, even after being resoundly beaten (and sending my wolfen home with their tails between their legs) by the eventual winner. Rackham even stepped up with prizes, and I won a month of new metal releases (the month turned out to be November, but I'm working on trading them (since no Wolfen or Ophidians came out) for something more useful) and a pretty cool bronze medal. And my picture may eventually be in Cry Havoc as well.

Wexford Hill Hobbies held an 800 pt C3.5 tournament on December 9, 2006. This acutally allowed for Living Legends, but I didn't have the only one available for Wolfen painted. I intended to bring a Red Oaks list, but realized as the first game started that the list was illegal, so I dropped Red Oaks, picked up a relic (and a couple more miracles for Syriak) and somehow managed to squeek out a surprise (at least for me) win, with 1-0, 1-1 and 2-0 games. It did allow me to finally try out Ophyr, and his staff is pretty powerful.
