Ophidian vortiran
|
| |
The Barhan intelligence operatives were stunned to find an ophidian temple beneath the foundations of the former mint. They
followed countless twisted corridors, guided by a litany coming from the heart of the labyrinth.
After a long walk they finally reached the sanctuary, a circular, overheated room at the center of which stood the statue
of a reptile-god. Bowing slaves were singing praise to the master of the place, a huge ophidian who slowly unsheathed his
two swords when he glimpsed the victims of his next sacrifice.

Ophidian warrior
|
| |
The fray was engaged. Giving orders was now useless. Severian rushed into the battle to help his men slay their opponents.
He was surprised to see warriors with strange armor and very deep-set eyes fighting among the clones of the Scorpions. They
were fighting with frightening fervor and no sounds were coming from their mouths.
A huge shape suddenly appeared from the fray and, after slaying a templar, settled in front of Severian. The ophidian flicked
his tongue with a horrible hiss to taste the acrid smell of war. Faced with this creature, the officer of the Temple was struck
by instinctive disgust. Rising inside of him he could sense the ageless fear felt by a prey when faced with a predator.

Ophidian archer
|
| |
“By Arakin! The damned are being covered by a Serpent!”
The shots of the ophidian archer positioned at the top of the hill were decimating the Lion’s ranks. The troop’s
magician had been killed and every new shot took the life of another brave warrior. Three reapers attacked the creature from
behind, the thought of their reward for bringing back a trophy attesting their victory already going to their head. Yet they
hadn’t counted on the reptile’s extraordinary senses. The ophidian spun around and, after having nailed a scout
to a tree like a butterfly to a board, he threw himself at his opponents.

Apostates of Darkness
|
| |
The apostates of Darkness did not even have to fight. At the sight of their metal clad silhouette, their enemies had run away
like cowards.
The apostates had to satisfy themselves with massacring the enemy scouts and some lost villagers. Then, they resumed their
march, frustrated and infuriated.
They did not fight for Light or for Destiny. Their masters were Ophidian and they obeyed their orders. Their true purpose
in life was not their allegiance or their thirst for victory. The apostates fought only for the taste of the war.

Ophidian Slave w/ Sword
|
| |
In the heart of the bloody fray opposing Asura de Sarlath’s accursed legions against the regiments of Lanever, just
a few metres separated Syd de Kaïber from S’Erum, the ophidian who had sworn his demise. The Cynwäll quickly finished
off his opponents and was about to rush at the Serpent when three strangely equipped men suddenly got in his way. Their weapons
and armour hadn’t been forged by human hands and their opaque eyes betrayed the fact that their minds were under the
control of a merciless master.
