Ogre Bulls
|
| |
The term Bull is used for any adult male Ogre. Bulls make up the majority of any Ogre Kingdom and are an unwashed mass of
muscle and fat. When Bulls gather in sufficient numbers, they can flatten landscapes as well as settlements.
Perhaps the only sign of status in Ogre society unrelated to sheer physical strength is the amount of noise an Ogre can make.
The quality of Ogre music is decided by pure volume instead of melody or skill. The loudest Bulls of each tribe are called
Bellowers and are more than capable of relaying orders over the din of battle.

IronGuts
|
| |
Ogre Ironguts are the Ogres of any given tribe who have the most status and the best weaponry. Although not markedly superior
in strength to their fellows, Ironguts are afforded great respect, because these warriors are hand-picked by the Tyrant himself.
For this reason, a unit of Ironguts may well include the Tyrant's immediate family or his closest drinking cronies.
Ironguts go into battle armed with massive two-handed weapons such as enormous scimitars, rocks bolted to tree boughs with
iron bands, or simply gigantic versions of the traditional Ogre club. Ironguts wear large, ornamented gut-plates to show their
status and cover their arms and heads in heavy armor cobbled together from various conquests over the years. Ironguts are
also typified by an unshakeable belief in their own superiority.

Gnoblar Fighters
|
| |
The larger members of Gnoblar society have a tendency towards independence. These Gnoblars forsake their baggage-carrying
brethren and band together into loose but numerous groups that take to the battlefield in the hope of stealing some particularly
choice shiny things. Most of the time, the Gnoblars will loiter near the Ogres and make threatening yelps and shuffle around
threateningly.
When the Ogres march to war, behind them scuttle Gnoblars who believe themselves tough enough to fight. Great swarms of these
cowardly runts take to the battlefield and occasionally even find a way to aid their Ogre masters. Every now and then, the
Gnoblars' sheer numbers enable them to pull down their foe in a tide of snapping maws, stabbing blades, and pure malice.

Gnoblar Trappers
|
| |
These outgoing but vindictive Gnoblars are the largest and most intrepid of their kind. They delight in catching and torturing
the small ferocious mammals that populate the foothills of the Ogre Kingdoms. Gnoblar Trappers will attempt to catch and kill
anything up to the size of a mountain goat.
On the battlefield, Gnoblar Trappers will crawl forward into areas of brush and woodland and lie in wait for any who seek
to use that cover to flank the Trappers' Ogre masters. Occasionally, a small bunch of Gnoblar Trappers will form a self-appointed
gaggle of followers for one of the hardy Ogre Hunters. The Trappers will pelt any foe who charges their role model with rocks
and sticks without ever actually venturing into harm's way themselves.

Convertable Models
|
| |
Bulls have three weapon options - Ogre clubs, additional hand weapons, and ironfists. Not wanting to have to have models
for every option, I made them convertable using rare earth magnets.
|

Convertable Models
|
| |
So this is the same model, but here equipped with only an ogre club. This gives him armor piercing attacks.

|
| |
For more attacks, give him a 2nd hand weapon. But he loses the special ability of the club.

|

Or for flexibility, give him an IronFist, which can be used either as a hand weapon, or as a shield.
|
|
|
Convertable Models
|
| |
Ogre standard bearers have the option of taking a look-out gnoblar - so I modelled them as well, and made them removable with
more magnets.

|
|
Convertable Models
|
| |
This is the same standard, but with the lookout gnoblar added.

|
Convertable Models
|

For this one, the gnoblar comes out of the barrel.
|
|
|
Convertable Models
|
| |
When I started, I didn't have enough IronGuts models to dedicate one to a standard bearer, so I made him convertable. This
is the standard, with lookout gnoblar on his shoulders.

Convertable Models
|

Same model, but the standard and gnoblar come off, and the blade is moved from the bottom to the top (and a handle is added
to the bottom).

Wound Markers
|
| |
Nearly every unit in the Ogre army has multiple wounds. It doesn't take long for dice to get moved and knocked over when
used to track these. So more magnets, glued to the back of the bases and on left over skulls, gives us handy wound countrs.
|
|
|
Wound Markers
|
| |
An example of how they are used. The hunter has been hit for two wounds (he has 4), and the sabretusk on the left has been
hit for 1 (he has 2). You need to have 1 less counter than the total wounds (as when they lose their last one, the entire
figure is removed).
