Patricia Sullivan began her yoga practice in 1970; it was the one "land-based" activity
that gave her anything remotely close to the sense of freedom and joy which she had experienced as a surfer. She studied in India with BKS and Geeta Iyengar in the 80's, and taught teachers-in-training at the San Francisco Iyengar Yoga Institute through the late 90's. She has taught nationally and internationally for nearly thirty years. Yoga has guided her life decisions since the beginning of her practice, and her curiosity about yoga and the mystery of life itself has lead her to explore various pathways and moved her deeper into her own practice. Her compassionate teaching emphasizes awakening one's own guru within.
