DON E. FAUNTLEROY:
With only seven years of experience, Don E. FauntLeRoy was accepted into the American Society of Cinematographers as a Director of Photography. His rise has been swift and his reputation as one of the most talented young cinematographers has been equally as rapid. Don's major break came in 1994 when he was given the opportunity of shooting David Wolper's epic mini-series, "North and South, Book III," which culminated with the ASC honoring him with a nomination. His most recent films are "Jeepers Creepers" and "Jeepers Creepers 2"done for Francis Ford Coppola's company in association with United Artists.
Don's technical knowledge is formidable and his experience is virtually unsurpassed. Starting as an Assistant Cameraman in 1972, he has worked with some of the finest Directors and Directors of Photography in the industry: James Cameron, Peter Hyams, Martin Scorsese, Harry Stradling, Robert Surtees, Michael Chapman, Herbert Ross, Haskell Wexler, Adam Greenberg, Richard Donner, Sam Peckinpah, Billy Wilder, Steven Spielberg and Blake Edwards, to name a few. Don's style, speed and exuberance reflect this intense professional background.
He has since gone on to direct and photograph some of the screen's most interesting talents including Sam Shephard, Dean Stockwell, Patrick Swayze, Stockard Channing, Diane Keaton, Diane Lane, Mimi Rodgers, Elizabeth Pena, Rutger Hauer, Jacqueline Bisset and Linda Hamilton. A native of Los Angeles and a graduate of U.S.C., Don's philosophy is simple: film, film, film...which leaves a small amount of time for his wife, Lesley-Anne Down, and their four children, one dog, two cats and a bird.
Don's grandfather was a Still Cameraman and his father an Optical Cameraman, from whom came Don's interest, then passion, for the film industry. His grandfather's collection of antique cameras and photographic equipment was handed down to him and he has continued to build on that collection, now possessing a large, rare and virtually irreplaceable array of film cameras and paraphernalia. It is destined to be inherited by his eldest daughter, Season, who is following in her father's footsteps, and is already an accomplished and working Assistant Cameraperson. When Don works, he insist on two things: Panavision equipment and Eastman Kodak stock. "They are the best" and coming from one of the best, you know he's right!
Don is a member of The Woofenill Works' Contributing Talent Group and will be participating as a Director of Photography on a number of the Company's motion picture projects and will be in the "Director's chair" on some of the Company's feature properties. His list of credits not only attests to his talent and reputation, but his versatility as well.

LARRY KOSTROFF:
Larry Kostroff's career began as a musician. After studying at the Julliard School of Music - percussion with Saul Goodman and Composition with Edgar Varese - he played with a variety off jazz groups in and around New York City. An interest in the dramatic arts led him to the American Theatre Wing where he studied directing with Lee Strasberg. His first employment in the entertainment industry was not in theatre but, unexpectedly, in Film Production.
Realizing the technical differences between the two disciplines, he enrolled at the Academy of Film Technique in New York City where he studied nightly while working in production during the day. He has worked exclusively in film ever since, developing an expertise in physical production.
Although he has held positions as a Director, Cinematographer and Editor on documentary, commercial and episodic TV films, his main body of work has been as a Line Producer and Production Manager on theatrical feature films and long-form TV programming.
Additionally, Larry held executive positions at MGM/UA as an Executive Production Manager; and HBO/Silver Screen Partnership as Vice President of Production, creating a Production Department to support their Feature Film Program. On a parallel track, he has been on the faculty of the American Film Institute, UCLA, USA, NYU, Chapman University, Los Angeles Film School; and has conducted numerous seminars on various aspects of film production.
In the course of his film career, Larry Kostroff has filmed extensively in the U.S., as well as in Canada, Great Britain, Mexico, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Spain, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Hong Kong, The Philippines, Jamaica, Bahamas and Ireland.
Currently residing in Long Beach, California with his wife and son, Larry has joined The Contributing Talent Group of The Woofenill Works, Inc. He will be functioning as a Line Producer and Production Manager on many of The Company's projects.

DAVID B. BARON:
With more than 13 years under his belt, Editor and Post Production Supervisor David B. Baron uses his experience and talent to allow producers and directors to rest easy as their films enter the post-production process. His diverse talent and experience led The Woofenill Works to add David B. Baron to the Company’s Contributing Talent Group.
David hails from Northern California and attended California State University Chico where he discovered an affinity for the filmmaking process. In 1990 he received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Design and a ticket to Los Angeles. He quickly landed a job with Laser-Pacific Media Corporation as an assistant editor and worked on "Seinfeld," "Wings," "Cheers," "Thirtysomething," The Wonder Years," "In Living Color," "Melrose Place," "Beverly Hills 90210," "The Larry Sanders Show," "Dream On" and "Tales From The Crypt." At Laser Pacific, Baron was able to experience many aspects of TV post-production including film developing, telecine, off-line and on-line editing, sound supervision and color timing.
In the summer of 1992, David accepted a position at Skywalker Sound (a division of Lucas Digital Limited). It was there that he was able to learn the motion picture post-production process from some of the best producing teams in the industry. As an assistant sound editor and audio technician, he worked on such titles as "Jurassic Park," "Casper," "Forrest Gump," "Mission: Impossible," "Toy Story," "Mrs. Doubtfire," "Nine Months," "Strange Days," "Jumanji," "A River Runs Through It," "Quiz Show," "Home For The Holidays" and "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles." During his tenure at Skywalker, he not only mastered traditional and digital post-production techniques, but also had access to the facility to write, produce and direct his own award winning short film "An Exercise in Futility." In addition, he was the sound supervisor for an independent film project with a group of animators at Industrial Light and Magic.
In 1996, David returned to Los Angeles as the post production coordinator for Saban Entertainment's popular teen show "Sweet Valley High." After completing the show's forty-four episodes, he moved on to the world of independent features and shorts where his roles included associate producer, post-supervisor and editor. This experience led him to Miramax Films where he was a staff editor for five years and worked on various films for their Television/Home Video Department, including many behind-the-scenes specials, Academy Award campaigns, DVD supplemental materials and numerous TV and airline versions of films including "The English Patient," "Sling Blade" and "Scream."
After years of dedicated service to some of the industries top companies David started his own company, Light Post, a full service post-production facility. He has completed numerous projects for a variety of A-list clients including "Animals Of The NFL" for the National Geographic Channel and "The 7th Annual PRISM Awards." Currently in post-production is the independent feature "Americano."

VINCENT J. GUASTINI:
Born in 1963, Vincent J. Guastini was educated at Dickinson High School where his major courses of interest were art, business, computers and photography. However, he pursued his sculpting and character creations through self-teaching methods and advice from mentors in the special effects field. His first opportunity to work on special make-up effects for a motion picture came in 1985 on the film "Spookies" for Sony Pictures. He was brought on board to design an effects lab, and to sculpt and construct various mechanical creatures.
By 1986, Vincent had already begun building his own clientele and assembled a talented special effects team for his TV and film projects including an opening sequence for MTV; the ‘walking/talking’ TV for Crest Toothpaste; and a cable controlled creature for Quaker Oats' HO Cereal. He was also one of the featured artists on a 'How To' Effects Video Tape which sold nationally.
One of his early accomplishments came in 1989 when he was contracted to head up the effects for "Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor." By the film's end, Vincent and his team, which consisted of a 30-man crew, generated over 15 mechanically articulated creatures including a giant 7-foot alien. The "Alien Factor" went on to win numerous awards around the country, including the prestigious International Film Festival Award for Best Special Effects.
In the same year, Academy Award winner Dick Smith who, at the time, was Make-Up Effects Consultant for the new TV series "Monsters," produced by Laurel Entertainment, contacted him. Vincent designed, created and supervised the effects for many of "Monsters" episodes during the first three seasons.
He was soon called to Hollywood to work with make-up artist Kevin Yagher on Universal's "Child's Play III" and "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey" for Orion Pictures. There he assisted in the creation of the animatronic "Chucky" dolls, the construction of a 10-foot animatronic rabbit and the evil Bill and Ted robots.
A challenging film project for Vincent was Michael Mann's $50M remake of "The Last of the Mohicans" for 2Oth-Century Fox. He oversaw the Prosthetics Department, supervising a crew to generate various graphic and realistic effects as well as a multitude of wounds and prosthetics applied to the principal actors and hundreds of extras. His studio was also praised for the weight loss transformation of Oscar nominee Ellen Burstyn in the acclaimed motion picture "Requiem For A Dream" released by Artisan Entertainment.
For "Super Mario Brothers: The Movie" in 1993, Vincent supervised the special make-up effects/prosthetics, and setup the effects lab for this Walt Disney Picture starring Bob Hoskins and Dennis Hopper. The various characters he created earned him a spot on the ‘short list of seven’ as a possible nomination for an Oscar, which Walt Disney Studios recommended.
In May of 1995, ABC-TV broadcast Stephen King's mini-series "The Langolier's." For this project, Vincent constructed and supervised the Langolier creature mock-up. This model was utilized to create hundreds of Langoliers via CGI effects. Other TV projects that featured Vincent's prosthetics include "The Oldest Confederate Woman Tells All," "Law and Order," "Third Watch," "Late Night With Conan O'Brien," "Dr. Phil," "Murder In A Small Town X" and "Saturday Night Live" for which he was nominated for an Emmy for Best Make-up.
Vincent generated and applied various prosthetic effects for Martin Scorsese's "Search and Destroy" in which his created animatronic was featured. He also generated and applied various prosthetic effects for the project which starred Christopher Walken, Dennis Hopper and Griffin Dunne. He did effects work for Stephen King's "Thinner," creating, designing and supervising the film's final effects sequence. In addition, he turned Michael Constantine into a hundred year-old cancer-ridden gypsy, which was designed by Academy Award winner Greg Cannom, as well as creating other special make-up effects for the project.
He developed effects and designs for "Doom," Universal's action/effects film; created and designed effects and prosthetics for "Dogma," "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and "Superman Reborn" for Director Kevin Smith; the creatures and effects for "The Day of the Triffids" for the Sci-Fi Channel; and effects work for Universal's "Virus" starring Jamie Lee Curtis and produced by Gale Anne Hurd.
He was selected to re-create and make new ‘ghoul's’ makeup for the 30th Anniversary, Special Edition Release of "The Night Of The Living Dead." This difficult and unique challenge required the re-creation of the original ‘cemetery zombie’ and a horde of new ones, all of which were added to the 1968 classic film using the original camera and film stock. He has done creature design and concept work for "Hannibal," "The Creature From The Black Lagoon," "Below," "Battlestar Galactica, The Return," "Lost In Space, The Return," "Man On The Moon," "Red Riding Hood," "Green Hornet" and "The Watchman."
Over the years he has appeared as a guest on many network TV and Cable programs including "Good Morning, New York" and MTV's "The Big Picture." He has been featured in articles published in numerous magazines including Premiere, Cinefantastique, Fangoria, Makeup Artist Magazine, Cinescape, SFX, Wizard, Dreamwatch and The Hollywood Reporter. The studio has also done effects for award winning T.V. commercials for major clients including Quaker Oats, Kellogg, MYV, Sci Fi Channel, Colgate, Cadbury and Milton Bradley.
Vincent Guastini Productions is a full service effects studio which creates, designs and constructs animatronic creatures and humans as well as prosthetic makeup and characters for feature films and television. As always, Vincent constantly aspires to create striking and original concepts, effects and applications for his projects, now adding his experience and talent to The Woofenill Works' Contributing Talent Group.

DONALD SOSIN & JOANNA SEATON:
This talented husband/wife team, each with over thirty years of experience in the performing arts, has established their own music production company, Farmhouse Window Productions. Mr. Sosin composes, conducts, arranges, writes and plays keyboards; Ms. Seaton writes, sings, acts and does character voices and vocal effects. Their substantial credits, including background music for network television and independent film releases, reflect a diversity of musical talents and they are capable of providing exciting and innovative compositions for a wide variety of media. In 1987, their singing group, The Drummer, The Dancer and The Dreamer, released the comedy single, "Meowy Chrismouse! Popular Xmas Songs For Your Cat" which has become a holiday classic. They have performed an eclectic mixture of Renaissance, folk, pop and international songs at such venues as The Rainbow Room, The World Trade Center, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the South Street Seaport. Their latest CD,"Sail Away, Songs From The Heart Of Broadway," features Joanna singing theater standards with Donald's gentle New Age arrangements.
Donald Sosin is considered one of the world¹s finest silent film composers. His annual performances at the leading showcases for silent film in Bologna and Pordenone have brought him acclaim among the film community. In 2003 he was invited to perform at the Kennedy Center as part of Robert Redford¹s address on the arts and film preservation sponsored by the Film Foundation and Americans for the Arts and he repeated his performance at the Directors Guild of America Awards dinner in New York. Other 2003 performances included the Newport Film Festival and 23 screenings for the 100th birthday of Yasujiro Ozu for the New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center. He composed music for screenings of women¹s films at AMMI and Chinese films at the Guggenheim Museum. In 2001 he was commissioned by the Westchester Film Festival to score the earliest existing American feature film, "Richard III,"for chamber ensemble and voice. At the Whitney Museum he premiered his score for "Salome" as part of the UNSEEN CINEMA series, for which he also recorded ninety minutes of music for this unique series of programs of avant-garde cinema currently touring museums around the world. Mr. Sosin has lectured on silent film music at the Aspen Institute of humanities.
In 2001 he scored the award-winning short sound film, "25/5/3" by Sonny Quinn; and in 2002 scored "Nosferatu, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" and "Blind Husbands" for Kino Video’s DVD releases. In 2001 he and his wife, actress/singer Joanna Seaton, participated in a colloquium on silent film music at the Berlin Filmmuseum. They performed his score for "Foolish Wives" with a five-piece band at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, featuring new songs by the couple, and a chamber score for the European premiere of MoMA’s restoration of "East Side West Side." The couple has twice performed at the Virginia Film Festival, the National Gallery, Connecticut’s Music Mountain and on many college campuses. Their CD of Broadway love songs, SAIL AWAY, was released in 1999.
In 2004, he scored the silent films "A Story Of Floating Weeds" for Criterion Collection; and for Milestone, "Cinderella" with Mary Pickford including songs by Joanna Seaton and Donald Sosin, and "M'Liss" with Mary Pickford. He scored Titanic and Olympic newsreels, and "The Unbelievers" (Crosland) and four short films from the Edison Studio for Kino. He is working on "Spies" (Fritz Lang), "King Of Kings" (DeMille), and the music for a new hysterical fairy tale musical short, "Little Red Jiving Hood," directed by Ben Hillman who did animation for Spike Lee.
Donald Sosin began piano studies at age four and has been writing music
since he was eight. He holds degrees in music composition from the
University of Michigan (B.A. with honors in 1973) and Columbia University (M.A. 1976). His classical training, improvisational skills and experience as the arranger of more than 1300 pop songs for Warner Brothers Music and Cherry Lane Music gives his work great variety. As a conductor and pianist, he has worked with such artists as Mary Travers, Comden and Green, Howie Mandel, Betty Buckley, Donna McKechnie and Sheila MacRae as well as for numerous Broadway and off-Broadway productions.
Joanna Seaton began her career as the Ivory Soap Baby in the 1950's. She
received a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Cornell University and is a member of Actor's Equity, SAG and AFTRA. Her acting credits include the off-Broadway American premiere of Cole Porter's "Nymph Errant," the British music hall show, "Give My Regards To Leicester Square" at the Village Gate; "Boy Meets Boy" at The Actor's Playhouse; "Jack The Ripper" at Manhattan Punchline;
Carrie in "Carousel" with David Canary; the Cockney maid in "Dracula" with John Philip Law at the Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre; Anne in "A Little Night Music" with Benay Venuta at the Brunswick Music Theatre; Peep-Bo in "The Mikado" at the 1982 World's Fair; and leading roles in "The Sound Of Music,"
"South Pacific," "Godspell," "Shenandoah" and many other shows in regional and stock theaters. She has performed and recorded with noted jazz pianist Dick Hyman and does character voices, regional dialects and bloodcurdling screams, most notably for shows such as "Kojak" and "The Equalizer." Her film credits include "A League Of Their Own" and "Ghostbusters."
Ms. Seaton was the producer and artistic director for the Elizabethan Dinner Theatre at the historical Major's Inn in Gilbertsville, New York where patrons stepped back into the 18th century for an evening of drama, courtly dancing and English dining. The theatre received an America The Beautiful Award from New York State and Ms. Seaton was listed in "Who's Who In American Women" for her achievements.
Their extensive list of both individual and collective credits are available upon request and include music for the media including motion pictures, TV, silent films, industrial and corporate films; orchestral music; choral music; music for theatrical productions including Broadway, off-Broadway, regional and stock theaters and ballet companies; chamber music; recordings; and special performances for such luminaries as Leonard Bernstein, Mitch Leigh, Michael Douglas; and The Radio City Music Hall, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Rainbow Room and many, many more. The couple taught 1000 children all over the U.S. for the Broadway tour of "Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat."
Donald and Joanna, both ASCAP songwriters, are also the directors of
Farmhouse Windows Songshops, teaching children how to write their own songs. In these workshops, children in the U.S. and Great Britain have learned to express their feelings while developing music and language skills. As they learn to trust themselves, the children gain confidence in their own insights and are less dependent on the media for emotional cues. Curriculum is integrated into the process. Along with the obvious rewards that come from sharing their love of music with the next generations, Donald and Joanna have been able to keep in touch with their own ‘inner child’ and to retain their innocence and spontaneity so necessary when writing music and lyrics for children. The couple has taken their unique method to national sales and management meetings, where the emphasis is on interpersonal communications and whole-brain functioning.

TIM WESKE:
Sir Ben Kingsley, Sandra Bullock, Natalie Portman, Sandra Oh, Jeremy Piven, Anne Hathaway, Martin Short, Fred Savage, and Kevin Garnett are just a few of the celebrities that Minnesota-born, Tim Weske, has worked with in his twenty plus years as Hollywood's Premier Sword Choreographer. Tim has trained thousands of actors and choreographed hundreds of sword fights and fencing sequences for the film and television industry, not to mention the thousands of moments of violence he has coordinated for stage.
He follows in the same tradition of cinemas finest Sword Masters: Fred Cavens, Ralph Faulkner, Bob Anderson, and Bill Hobbs, as a teacher and as a competitor in Olympic Fencing. He has a lifetime of constant study in swordplay and the ability to translate fencing's fine movements into movements suitable for the silver screen, as well as having the ability to communicate the language of the sword and movement to actors and fight performers in order to get spectacular results on the screen.
Through the years, Tim has created a system for cinema swordplay that makes getting in front of the camera quick and safe; saving production time and money with outstanding and entertaining results. Since 1992, he has owned and operated Swordplay, his private training facility in Burbank and in Reseda California, consistently working as a Hollywood SwordMaster since Swordplay opened its doors. Swordplay, coupled with Tim's extensive sports background, allows him to constantly study weapons, human movement and the creative process involved in making memorable fight sequences.
His personal belief is that the sword fight is about a moment in the character's life that has escalated to violence. The sequence should drive the story with creativity, safety and excitement…and should not be solely about the sword.

PHIL O'DELL:
In 1986, Phil O'Dell earned his SAG card by jump-kicking another stuntman off a moving motorcycle. Since that time, he has performed stunts in over 50 feature films and TV series (stunt coordinating more than 20). In addition, he Stunt Coordinated and Second Unit Directed 96 episodes of the TV series "V.R. Troopers" and the feature film, "Dilemma". His stunt skills include fireburns, high falls, car jumps and rolls, rappelling, underwater action, martial arts and other fight choreography. Phil has also trained animals for features and television. Other insights he brings to stunt work include rigging skills acquired through commercial diving as well as rappelling expertise obtained through years of mountaineering and rock climbing.
Phil's earned his Advanced Scuba Certificate at 17. At 18, he began his career training dolphins and sea lions at ‘Gulf World’" a marine aquarium in Panama City, Florida. Because of his avid interest in diving, a quest for adventure and lure of big money, he left Gulf World the following year to pursue a new career in commercial diving. At the ‘Divers Training Academy’, a commercial dive school in Fort Pierce, Florida, he learned underwater burning (cutting) techniques, welding, explosives, salvage and search and recovery. After graduating, he began working primarily in the Gulf Of Mexico for James Dean Marine Divers. This career involved diving in some of the harshest conditions including countless surface-supplied, mixed-gas dives to over 300 feet and some of the deepest surface-supplied, compressed-air working dives ever made, the deepest to 246 feet.
Even as he pursued his diving career, Phil still found time for martial arts, earning his black belt and winning numerous karate tournaments and kick boxing bouts. After a decade-long commercial diving career, Phil decided to utilize his martial arts background and graduated from Executive Security International, the nation's foremost bodyguard school in Aspen, Colorado. At ESI, he received training from former Secret Service and FBI instructors on advanced handgun tactics, escape and evasion driving, explosives search and identification, unarmed defensive tactics and more.
His work in executive protection brought Phil to Los Angeles where he began his career as a stuntman in motion pictures. After a decade working in the motion picture industry in L.A., Phil returned to the New Orleans area in 1997 and to commercial diving work for Cal Dive International for several months on an underwater burning job. He then resumed his stunt career in New Orleans doing commercials, music videos and live shows in addition to TV and feature films. Although he now works mostly in the New Orleans area, his stunt work has had him return to L.A. on occasion as well as other locations.
The Woofenill Works has added Phil O'Dell to its Contributing Talent Group as the Company's Stunt Coordinator. But his role goes far beyond that. His extensive background in other areas will be utilized in the initial stages of development of all the Company's projects as both a Technical and Creative Advisor for stunts, weaponry, martial arts, security, underwater and marine animal elements, action sequencing, etc.

Growing up as the daughter of an Air Force pilot afforded Donna the opportunity to live in exotic places such as Ankara, Turkey and the Panama Canal Zone. She achieved two B.S. degrees at the University of Alabama, one in Humanities/ Sciences and the other in Civil Engineering. Then after working as a consulting engineer for five years, she returned to Louisiana State University and obtained an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Civil/ Environmental Engineering. She has also worked as a college professor and served as an experimental drug study coordinator at a large medical clinic in Louisiana.
On the production side, Donna has worked as a stunt woman and earned a SAG card. As well as being very athletic, her particular skills related to stunts include martial arts which she has sporadically studied for 15 years and is currently training under Phil O'Dell's direction. Also, having grown up around airplanes led Donna to becoming an avid skydiver and obtaining a private pilot's license in 1979. After 19 years, 2600 jumps and 10 years instructing skydiving, she no longer jumps, but is a valuable asset to Phil as a consultant in related action sequences. She has also been part of the stunt safety crew and her Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification qualifies her to work as a Set Medic.
Donna has joined The Woofenill Works' team as a Technical Consultant in her areas of expertise and experience, a member of Phil O'Dell's Stunt Team both creatively and technically and will serve as a Set Medic in production.

EUGENE JOE SOCKUT:
Eugene Joe Sockut is an American writer and columnist with hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles to his credit. He currently resides in a quiet rural area in the hills outside of Jerusalem, Israel. In 1971, with his spouse, mother and three children, Gene immigrated to Israel, drawn by his own heritage and the concept of rebuilding this emerging nation and homeland.
After graduating from the Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 1960, Gene spent the next few years in the U.S. Army in Europe before going into private practice in Connecticut. It was during this period that he began another career as a free-lance writer and lecturer. He appeared on numerous TV and radio shows; was a radio correspondent; and a feature writer for the Hartford Times. In 1965, he became deeply drawn and committed to the cause of Israel and was actively involved in numerous American-Israeli organizations. His efforts garnered awards and recognition, finally resulting in his emigration and a deeper commitment to the cause of this new nation.
During his career in the U.S. Army and up to the present day, Gene has been considered an expert in the field of arms and marksmanship. He has been an advisor and consultant in this area to the Israeli Military; Prison Service, Police, Expert Witness to the Judicial System and, with the rank of Major, served as Chief of Marksmanship & Snipers with the Israeli Army. Since 1971, he has published a variety of training manuals; been a feature writer, columnist and author; wrote, presented and produced numerous videos and a book on arms and survival, all of which have recently been released, worldwide, by Paladin Press of Boulder, Colorado; been a consultant to various Israeli government agencies and departments; and was a Foreign Press Spokesman for the Isreali Ministry of Tourism.
Gene's entry into the world of screenwriting began in 1989 when a close friend, who worked for Disney and NBC-TV, encouraged him to branch out. With no formal training, "I began with lots of energy but very, very little background." His first generation of screenplays were his learning experience. "It's said that most successful screenwriters write 10 screenplays before they master their craft." Gene's next three efforts, "Justifiable Homicide," "Deadly Impulse" and "Evil Inclination" have been optioned by the Company. Recently, the Company also optioned "Thunder From Rain" and "Cannibals," and commissioned him to write the screenplay on the Company's property "The Cold Dark." They are all finely crafted, gripping, fast-paced, mass-market scripts that were intentionally crafted to fit into their targeted markets. Eugene J. Sockut has not only learned and honed his craft, but possesses the ability to write for a specific genre/audience and, most important, within the budgetary restrictions dictated by that target audience.

A self-taught screenwriter, he has written seven television scripts, two of which garnered serious consideration by the producers of "The X-Files" and Showtime's, "The Outer Limits." In addition, he has written four, feature length screenplays, one of which, "A Howl In The Night," has been optioned by the Company. Another script was "passed around more times than a drunken high school cheerleader and nearly got made before the head enchilada of an established production company nixed it as cliche. I guess he didn't know NBC was ripping off "The X-Files" with "Dark Skies" or that "Independence Day" would kick butt at the box office in 1996. Who says the alien abduction theme is getting stale?"
Understanding that "almost" only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, Jeff mulls over several future projects with the goal of seeing one of his pieces on the big or little screen, but never on "Mystery Science Theater 3000."
The Company presently has three of Jeff's properties under option: "Legion Of Darkness," " A Howl In The Night" and "At The Edge Of The Black Forest."
