The New York State Department of Transportaion  (DOT) tunnel was installed in 1980s at the cost of the state.  It now rests about a half mile down stream from where it was installed.  The tunnel was big enough to drive a pickup truck through it.
 
The New York State DOT refuses to replace the tunnel, in spite of the emergency problems it is causing.

It's a disgrace how everyday, American Politicians are appearing before television cameras and newspapers cameras, praising our troops in this War on Terrorism.
 
 
"SUPPORT  OUR  TROOPS,  SUPPORT  OUR  TROOPS," they say repeatedly as they pat our brave men and women on their backs.
 
 
However, in the future and the cameras go home, when these same troops ask for help from their government, they too will receive the same treatment as today's veterans.
 
Please don't be fooled...   Don't let our current, honorable men and women be used as political pawns.   Make politicians accountable for their promises and responsibilities to those, who sacrifice so much for America.

So far, estimates are that over 100,000 of our current honorable, brave men and women in uniform suffer various degrees of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder  (PTSD).   It's a problem that stays mostly behind closed-doors.   However, for those who suffer from PTSD and their loved-ones, the illness is real and painful.
 
Learn the saga of a PTSD Veteran as he battled a powerful and politically connected Law Firm in a Legal Malpractice case as they used the veteran's own disability against him.  (Politicians do not want to help this honorable veteran too.   Instead the politicians chose to help the corrupt Law Firm.) 
 
Is this what today's new, honorable PTSD Disabled Veterans face...    I hope not.

A  PIECE  OF  FORGOTTEN  AMERICAN  HISTORY
 
THE  BATTLE  OF  MINISINK was such an embarrassment
to the Americans that it took 43 years,
before the bodies of the veterans were collected and buried.  
However, when these veterans did get buried with honors,
15,000 Americans showed up to give them their long, overdue respect.

The latitude of Deerpark is 41.446N. The longitude is -74.673W.
