BYPASS: 555I (no spare key required). <<<555u/556u is also avai but required spare key.>>>>

This tutorial is for any DEI keyless/alarm/RS that has xcrs relay types. PLZ go to my homepage (www.home.earthlink.net/~lam.tran) for further notes on preparation.

Lets get started.....
-First, check out the civic's diagram (link above) and find those wire at the location in the following picture below.
-to ensure, use a DMM to test each wire. Its okay to skip the testing, all the wire do match up w/ the diagram.

-Second, prep the routing of DEI unit. note: only 3 wires need to come into the engine bay, the rest are in the cabin.

install routine: well install the RS/keyless/alarm b4 goin into BYPASSING immobilizer.

H1/2- white(-/+) selectable parking flash output

-I reccommend using the (-) output since its easier to locate. dont forget to switch the jumper to (-) b4 making any taps. If you want to use (+), then you need to drop down the fuse box, holding by one 10mm bolt, and locate one of the top harnesses.

3 Wires through FIREWALL

-to run wires into the engine bay w/o drilling, youll have to run the 3 wires into the fender area (get a friend to help you) w/ a fishing object..... coat hanger or bike brake line.
-the hole is covered by a grommet, dont pop it to the other side. poke a hole to it and run the 3 wire through it and then start fishing it to the engine bay

-notice mine was lost somewhere during install, i had to tape it to prevent water FROM COMING IN.

The 3 wires were putted into a 1/4" split loom and ran it across the firewall over to the batt/intake area.

 

3 WIRES IN ENGINE BAY

Siren input- RED
Siren output- Brown
(cut black loop make arm/disarm louder. read the box)

Hood pin- that hole is a bad area to put it at. move it somewhere around there and drill a hole.

Mount all your necessary components:
impact sensor (steering column is the worst place),antenna, LED, valet.....

UR RS/ALARM/KEYLESS INSTALLATION IS NOW FINISHED!!!!!

to learn TACH signal: locate ur valet button. start engine w/ ur KEY w/ 10sec and press and hold the valet button. If LED light up and stay solid, its sucessfully learned. check ur tach wire if not sucessful.

-to test ur RS, place key in the cylinder (DO NOT TURN) and press * twice to RS or hold down lock/unlock button. if successful, start bypassing the IMMOBILIZER.

NEXT PART: Immobilizer Bypass DEI 555I

Take off the top cover of the steering wheel shroud, DO NOT PRY UPWARD (the clip can break)......hard to explain but....push the bottm cover and lift the top out, 1 clip by 1. (youll know what am talkin about after you break a clip)

The bottom cover is held by 3 phillips screws.

555I: MAKING CONNECTIONS

Look back at the DEI diagram, i point at the "optional feature".
H3 5pin- blue/wht -200mA status output
555I-blue RS input

ground the BLACK wire

IGNITION FEED: cut it in half- key side and ECM side
ECM side- yellow/blk
keyside- yellow

Data: RED/BLUE to RED/BLUE

KEY SENSE wire is not shown in the harness(in pic)

the other green harness has the keysense
keysense: BLUE/WHT to RED/WHT

to learn the key:

stick ur KEY in and DO NOT turn. RS by pressing * or lock/unlk.

look at the light on the 555I. if light up and then goes out, its sucessfully learn. step on BRAKE to shut off the car. if the light keep stayin on and DO NOT learn, use another key (gray).

1.TAKE OUT THE KEY
2.REMOTE START IT
3.GET EXCITED & JUMP AROUND FOR AWHILE

you saved ~150-200 bucks on labor.
