Bob Hart

Bob Hart has played bass with Noah Baerman in PRF off and on since 1995. Noah had also heard Bob play many times with bands like Brutus Bit Me and You Were Spiraling and secretly fantasized about making use of Bob's pop music skills. Mr. B's Boogie Band has provided that opportunity.
Acoustic and electric bassist Bob has had an amazingly diverse music career. He worked with singer-songwriters, rock bands, funk units, modern jazz artists, and avant-garde ensembles. Bob recently toured the U.S. with the rock group You Were Spiraling, appearing at venues like Irving Plaza in New York, House of Blues in L.A and the 9:30 club in D.C. He has done extensive session work, appearing on commercial jingles from Crest toothpaste to Columbia House to Florida Oranges. In addition to being a virtuoso on acoustic and electric basses, Bob is a skilled guitarist and pianist, and played tenor saxophone in the New Jersey funk band Victor Diggs and the Boogie Love. He has even been known to transcribe Mahler symphonies for the piano.

Noah says: the reason everybody seems to want Bob in their band is that he can play anything. Any tune, any style, and he plays it perfectly. And to top it off, he's one of the most humble artists you could ever hope to meet.

Mr. B says: if we could clone Bob, the rest of the band could stay home and let all the Bob's do the gigs.

Mr. B's CD pick: listen to Bob get slap-happy on Shake Your Punk A**.
