Quote from "It's A Wonderful Life"
George Bailey to Mr. Potter:
"I know very well what you're talking about. You're talking about something
you can't get your fingers on, and it's galling you. That's what you're talking about,
I know."

The U. S. Supreme Court recently ruled that a local government can usurp people's private property in order to let commercial
interests use it. This includes private homes that people have worked a lifetime to afford and own.
In the past, this sort of thing was used for public projects like roads, parks, and other public works projects.
When one of the Park neighbors decides it would be nice to have a lecture center in the Park, what's to stop them, since
it's obvious that they can get whatever they want for a few million dollars? Washington Square Park is not about pretty graduation
pictures. It should be about the people who use it.
The Bottom Line is that this Park should not be annexed. Stop this giveaway of your Park and your rights!
