BuildAbility Photo Companion CD
The BuildAbility Photo Companion CD includes 15 photo collections, sample activities, and a demo activity and tutorial. The photo collections include 10 "virtual field trips", animation photos, and 4 related, functional photo collections. Teachers and/or students may create their own field trip experience or related activities with the photos.The sample activities are included to facilitate ideas and strategies for using the photos. For example, the animation photo collection includes various animals that have been painstakingly modified in a paint program to provide two different poses. By repeatedly pasting the two different poses into BuildAbility, the animals become animated. A tutorial provides step by step instructions and screen dumps to teach all techniques.
Field trip photo collections include: the airport, the dairy farm, the farm, the farmers market, the Fort Worth Stockyards, the zoo, Old City Park (which includes a re-created pioneer village that is relevant when studying the early settlers in social studies), the train station, the garden, and the four seasons of the year. Related functional photo collections include: dishes, clothing to "dress the farmer", food in the grocery store, and traffic signs. The animation photos provide whimsical additions to any activity!
Photos are appropriate for pre-K through elementary school curriculum.
All photos have been edited, sized and saved in file formats to work seamlessly when inserted into BuildAbility. Photos may also be used in most applications that take graphics!
