Curriculum Solutions: Participants will explore various curriculum software solutions now available to supplement the basic curriculum. Access stations can be set up for participants interested in alternate access.

Supported Reading and Writing Using Clicker 5
Participants will work with Clicker 5 to see how easily reading and writing may be supported in the classroom! Reading supports include supported speech while words are highlighted word by word. Writing supports include word banks, forced sentence structure, pop up grids for labeling and much more! Movies and photographs provide additional interest. Participants may also search and open ready made activities from learningGrids.com!

Making the Entire Computer Accessible for Switch Users by Pairing Discover Pro Software and IntelliSwitch
Participants will use the new improved Discover Pro software from Madentec to allow scanners to be completely independent on the computer and the Internet! See how simple it is to use either two switch step scanning and/or one switch automatic scanning to access the computer. The wireless IntelliSwitch will be used as a switch interface for one student or several students. Discover Pro provides simple or complex launch setups from the desktop to provide total independence.

IntelliSwitch: Cooperative Learning for Children with Access Needs!
New Strategies for Integrating the Tools: Improving switch access for the student by combining IntelliSwitch, IntelliKeys, switches and Classroom Suite via the USB Control Panel!
Participants will use the new IntelliSwitch switch interface to include children with various access needs to work cooperatively and/or meet individual literacy objectives. The user may access switch software with one or more switches or 5 children may activate a switch to work cooperatively. IntelliSwitch is compatible with Discover Pro software, IntelliTools software, and most self scanning software. All access will be controlled through the new USB IntelliKeys and IntelliSwitch Control panel. Discover software may be used to create switch access to applications that do not have built in scanning including the desktop. (A student may use a launch scan at the desktop with Discover and then use Classroom Suite's built in scans!) See ideas for sequencing, turn-taking, multiple choice, games, and much more!

Writing throughout the Curriculum
Participants will use the new Digital Writer CD, a set of Classroom Suite templates, to provide writing throughout the curriculum. While studying recurring themes such as: clocks, calendars, postcards, letters, seasons, months, shapes, Roman numerals, historical periods, and much more, Digital Writer provides traditional instruction and additional companion activities to encourage the writing process. Movies and photographs are included to make learning more realistic.
Participants also have the option of purchasing the Digital Writer CD for $30.00 if desired.
BUT free templates, movie and photo samplers are available for download after the workshop!

Creating Accessible Books to Support the Curriculum
Talking books have become an effective tool to support the curriculum by providing an additional way to present materials. These books can reinforce learning after a concept has been introduced, prepare students for an upcoming event in a social story, or provide feedback after an event has occurred. By including movies and photographs from the QuickTime Classroom Collections participants may create virtual field trips without leaving the classroom!
Accessible/Talking books will be created using BuildAbility, My Own Bookshelf, or IntelliPics Studio. Participants may bring digital photographs for social stories and/or electronic graphics to create specific content for the curriculum. New PCS Animation symbols from Mayer Johnson may be included!

-Participants may take home their work if the site will provide and burn CDs at the end of the day!
IntelliTools Classroom Suite
Participants will explore the new, fully integrated classroom applications from IntelliTools: IntelliTalk 3, IntelliPics Studio 3 and IntelliMathics 3. Initially ready to use activities will be explored in all three applications which support classroom curriculum for K-6. Next authoring templates will be used to customize these activities with other curriculum content. New features include word prediction and easy to use and create answer checking.
Mac or Win 2 days for the Beginner (This is a great way to preview Classroom Suite!)
An overview may be done in one day!
IntelliKeys Optional Day 2 may focus on using movies and photographs for the more intermediate users!

BoardMaker 6.0 for Windows is a must for the busy speech therapist and teacher who create communication displays or classroom materials such as: worksheets, pictorial task analysis, books, posters, individual and/or classroom schedules, games, flashcards, and much more.
