Music of the Great Highland Bagpipe |
If you've never heard the bagpipe in person and up close, it is hard for me to describe the astonishing affect it has on you, it's power, and awe striking sound! Truely an astonishing experience! You must at least, once in your life, make an effort to hear one in person some day! My Piping Experience: I have piped for several occasions: A highschool graduation cerimony, where I and my partner played our pipes both simutaniously in a mini-band configuration for 15 minutes straight for an audiance of about 1,400 people. Several wedding receptions, either piping in the couple or playing for them at the front table. At church functions, piping as a side attraction or as a sing along. At events such as the Pine Cone Festival, in Twin Peaks, The Art's & Wine Festival in Arrowhead, and several "for charity" events with the Inland Empire Scottish Society. Once, even for a private birthday party, on the balcony of their lake side home in Crestline. |
Music of the Fire Side Small Pipes |
Great Highland Bagpipes TOO POWERFUL for you? Do you still love the sound of Scottish bagpipes but don't want to end up needing a hearing aid? Is your event in a small gathering room and you are afraid the "Big Boys" are too big for your needs? Well, take a listen to the |
You will never forget the awsome effect, as the piper marches into your gathering, playing tunes of your choice (see main page for tune selections) or you can let the piper call on his experience and play tunes appropriate for the moment. These pipes are VERY loud and should not be played in small gathering rooms, large cathedral halls and out door events are best! |
