Responsive Reverence # 2
[NOTE: The wording of the Reverence is unimportant, but the meaning
of the
Signposts
needs to be stated.]
Six candles of various colors are laid out in a circle -- clockwise they
are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. A white candle is placed
in the center. These candles represent the
Signposts of the
Path. They are: Devotion (red), Wisdom (orange), Realization (yellow), Action
(green), Compassion (blue), Celebration (violet), and Harmony (white).

Leader: "We gather together here to celebrate the Sacred. We celebrate together
with Harmony as our goal."

All: "Blessed is the Spirit of Harmony."

Leader: "We devote ourselves to the search for Truth. We look inside ourselves
for sacred love and the answers we find there."

All: "Blessed is the Spirit of Devotion."

Leader: "We grow in Wisdom. We learn from our experiences. And we are made
better people by them."

All: "Blessed is the Spirit of Wisdom."

Leader: "We realize there is sacredness within ourselves. Each one of us
is a special person. Each one of us has a role to play in the Great Cosmic
Drama we call life."

Leader: "We put our faith into action -- our beliefs into motion. We protect
the Web of Life, of which we are all a part. We build, we transform, we connect."

Leader: "We find sacredness in others, in nature, in all things. We strive
to be respectful and compassionate: to be sympathetic to others and to all
of nature."

Leader: "We celebrate our diversity. We are lesbigay and straight. We come
from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds. We follow different religious
paths on our journey to Truth and wholeness. And our unique gifts do not
divide us, but make us stronger and more complete."
