Welcome to the darkness.  Here there is no sight, only breathing.  Gentle breathing, and the sound of my voice.  There is silence.  There is peace.  All is calm and relaxed.

The silence flows as a very slow river.  Moving gently downstream in the darkness.  Flowing further into the night.  Flowing on to the dim red patch of light ahead: the signal of the coming dawn.

The silence seems to no longer be still.  There is gentle movement.  There is a low sound.  And the sound seems to move gently in the distance.

The sky is growing into a crimson color.  And the distant noise can now be identified as music.  There is rhythm and color now.  And the brightening red sky brings forth the colors of the flowers here.  You are not floating downstream.  You are gently floating in the wind: moving only a few feet above the ground -- carried along as gently as a dandelion seed in the morning breeze.

The grasses here sway in the breeze, and they part to allow you to move toward the music you hear ahead of you.  The flowers are blooming as well, and their petals are joining you, flying along in the warm breeze of the morning.

You are nearing a grove of trees, and the source of the red dawn light is here.  There is an open circle within the grove of trees, and a fire is burning in the center: sending it's red light up and out to the lands beyond.

You now see others dancing in the circle.  You see people.  You see animals.  There may be a tree or a shrub dancing.  Or perhaps a rock.  You see so many dancers and so many different dances.  Some are dancing quickly, and some hardly move at all.

You arrive at the circle of dancers and the breeze gently brings you to the ground.  The dancers part to allow you to enter their circle and you begin to move to the music of the dance.  Find your own rhythm.  Find your own movement.  Sing, if you like.  But make your own motion within the dance.  And share in the power of the dance.

The light from the fire becomes brighter as you dance.  And its smoke grows as a mist.  Everything becomes bright and misty.  And the other dancers become a blur in the mist.  Soon all is the red of the fire and the dance becomes stronger.  You feel the energy of  the fire growing with your own energy.  And before long you become the fire.  You feel your warmth and energy expanding beyond the circle and bringing light and warmth to the world beyond.  Your red light is the light of morning, and the radiance of love and harmony.  You feel your warmth bringing comfort to the world around you.

Your dance and song fade into the morning, and soon you find yourself standing in a clearing mist, near the fire pit.  The red of the morning time has given way to blue sky.  And the dancers have all gone to do their own dances elsewhere.  The warm breeze again carries you, away this time deep into the grove.  The trees grow thicker in the grove and the light grows dimmer.  Finally, the breeze grows gentle and you again find yourself still and in darkness.   The song echoes silently now and again you find the silence, the darkess, and your breathing…
