Lost Colony DNA Project Weblog

Welcome to my blog!

This weblog is my online journal. Continually updating a web page is tedious and time consuming work. A weblog gives me the ability to make updates without having to edit HTML code. It's fast and easy... which translates into my being able (and more willing) to make updates when I have news to share.

LCCSR & RLCDP to work together?
The Lost Colony Center for Science and Research (LCCSR) and the Roanoke Lost Colony DNA Project may soon join forces! I have been in contact with Fred Willard, the director of LCCSR, and we are making arrangements to meet and discuss our projects and how we might assist one another. Our goals are the same, although the approaches different, so it only makes sense that we give each other a hand. Mr. Willard has been involved with a lot of exciting work on the Lost Colony. For more information on his work, visit his web site at the link above. I've asked Mr. Willard if we might meet at the upcoming Lumbee Powwow. If he is not able to do that, I will likely be paying him a visit on the Outer Banks sometime that weekend. I will post any additional news as it happens.

Lumbee Tribe Fall Powwow.
The Lumbee Fall Powwow will be held in Lumberton, NC, October 31 - November 2, 2003. I will be attending in the hopes of making some new contacts and to acquaint people with the project. I've designed a nifty t-shirt that should get folks asking some questions! I'm looking forward to a good time!

The Project hits the airwaves!
WSNL, AM 600, Flint, Michigan, contacted me and wished to conduct an interview about the Lost Colony DNA Project. A transcript can be obtained (in WORD format) by following this link. [NOTE: when you click the link, as long as you have MS Word, a new window will open and you will be given the option of either opening the file or saving the file to your hard drive. If you don't have Word and you would like the transcript in some other format,
e-mail me with your request].

In this area I'll include links that highlight areas of my weblog. For example, I might include links to my personal favorites or the most popular posts.

For now, here are some links to my pages:

I'll make changes to this site as time allows and as I have news to share. I'm not likely to make posts about every little thing and intend to only post news about the DNA project or perhaps to answer questions that I receive that might interest others.
