Medical
Qigong (Yi Jia Gong) therapy is a form of Chinese Energetic Medicine, and is one of the four initial schools of Traditional
Chinese Medicine. Qi or (Chi) in this context is translated to signify "Life Force Energy" and Gong is translated to mean
"Acquired Skill." Medical Qigong therapy is a combination of the use of breath-work, creative visualization, presence
of mind and deliberate intention. The primary goal is to purge toxic emotions from within the body's tissues, eliminate energetic
stagnation's, as well as strengthen and balance the internal organs and energetic fields. The concept of Yi Jia Gong, (Medical
Qigong) is based on the body’s meridian system, Qi-cavity or acupoints, the principle of Yin and Yang, the interaction
of the five elements, the internal organs and the relation of the three vitalities (Jing, Qi and Shen), Soul Body and Mind.
The purpose of treatment with Qigong is to release and purge strong toxic-energy flows that are literally trapped
in the body's tissues. When we hold back our feelings we block our natural Qi flow, which creates stagnant pools of
toxic energy within our body. For the healing process to work there can be no separation between body, mind, emotion and spirit.
All must be in balance to maintain a healthy body. The effectiveness of Medical Qigong therapy is in its ability to strengthen
and reinforce the body's immune system and essential Qi, as well as regulate the body's yin and yang energy, adjust the primordial
activities, clear the channels, and activate the body's Qi and Blood.
