Concept I
PINK WORLD (ECSTASY)
       or 
The World through 
Rose-Colored Glasses

Location: Michelsk‡ street,
MichelskŽ square.

A pink transparent sheet that
transmits only filtered pink
light is stretched above a
small encircled space in the
center of Prague.

Technical Realization: A
special resistant polyvinyl
pink sheet with optical
adjustments is attached at
four points to buildings with
the help of free-standing clay
pipes and steel strings. In
the case of rain, water will
be drained away by the
perforation in the shape of a
spiral on the square and of a
wavy line on the street.
Viewers will be influenced by
the effect of the filtered
pink light in the chosen space
which they enter without any
expectation of an artistic
experience. They enter it
without the possibility of
choice. The world is seen
ÒTHROUGH ROSE-COLORED GLASSESÒ
without (the viewer's)
decision.

Concept II
PRISMATOID
a hanging light object

Location: A two meter long
light object made of
transparent PVC hanging at
approximately 5 meters high.
Inside the object there is an
ultraviolet halogen light that
colors the gelatin fads and
pictures of saints reflex
yellow. 

Technical Realization: A
transparent PVC sheet in the
shape of a prismatoid 2 meters
long, with all sides 50
centimeters wide, hangs from
three cables in a random
space. All the sides are
double and the space between
them is filled with
transparent gel with gelatin
fads, pictures of saints
and silver filters. Inside the
prisamtoid there is a glass
cylinder 1.8 meters long and
0.4 meter wide, open at its
top and closed at the bottom
so that PVC does not touch the
light. Inside the cylinder
there is an ultraviolet
halogen light.

Concept III
DREAM SPACE

Location: one of the smaller
rooms within the experimental
club Roxy After taking off his
or her shoes, a random
newcomer enters a luminous
tactile picture that covers
the whole floor. The viewer
becomes uneasy 
because of the absence of
solid ground under his or her
feet and the impossibility of
seeing the picture as a
wholeÐbut only fragments of
it.

Technical realization: Contact
color lights are densely
placed throughout the entire
floor. The space is covered
with transparent gel, and with
colored pigments in some
spots, up to a thickness of 30
cm. Within the gel are
pictures of saints haphazardly
inserted, color gelatin fads
and silver filters. Everything
is covered by a layer of
strong polyvinyl that can bear
the weight of an adult.
Everything is sealed on all
sides by transparent silicon.
