Three Situations in Time

Situation: I have placed the
sign PLEASE, DO NOT TOUCH ME
on several different objects
of everyday use. Encountering
the sign, the viewer adopts an
attitude towards this request.
He or she feels restrained, or
on the contrary, to be the one
that restrains. I take the
alteration and permeation in
time of these contradictory
positions to indeed
be the final outcome.

Situation: In places selected
at random, cards inscribed
with MEMORY lie
inconspicuously. The viewer
looks at them without
understanding. Half a year
later, at a different site,
the very same person is
confronted with the same
number of cards of the exact
same size. This time they are
of various colors and without
an inscription. At the moment
when the viewer realizes
having seen something similar
half a year before, the
installation achieves its aim.

Situation: Say hello to your
family.
