ROTC Certificate

The Sojourners ROTC Medal and Bar is composed of a ribbon of two colors, blue and gold in alternating vertical stripes. The Medal is a replica of the International Sojourners medal, but with this difference; beneath the out stretched winged American Eagle are the letters ROTC.

The Gold of the ribbon serves to remind us of those priceless treasures, Life, Liberty and Justice, which we are sworn to defend. The Blue of the ribbon stands as our affirmation of the universal truths handed into our care by a God who believes in the equality of man.

On the medal itself is the American Eagle, symbol of our Nation, surrounded by thirteen stars, our original thirteen colonies. Behind the Eagle is the open compasses emblematic of our belief that all men are created equal and are welcome to share in the joys of freedom. Finally the letters ROTC, upon which the American Eagle is supported, our recognition that it is the citizen Soldier, Sailor and Airman who keep our Nation strong.
