Questions about Party Animals' Pony Parties:
Where can I have a pony party and how much room does it take?
We can come to your home... or you can come to our ranch. It does not take
much room to walk the ponies around and a full photo studio is brought along for the
theme parties. A normal back yard or sidewalk usually will provide enough space. However,
we do host parties at our ranch in Apple Hill or in your local parks, if permissible.
What do we do if it rains on the day of the party?
Rain just adds to the adventure! We just pop up a tent to keep the ponies and riders
dry and the party goes on! Or, you can consider it an excuse for dad to clear out the
garage and we can take the party in there! If the weather is too extreme,
rebooking is always an option.
What is a good age for children at the parties?
It has been our experience that children of all ages enjoy pony parties with the upper
limit being around 12 years old. By that time, they usually wish to ride a horse
rather than being led around by someone else.
What is the oldest age a child can be to ride?
We don’t base our rides on age, but rather on weight. We have several different sizes of ponies
and, depending on the ages of the kids, we bring the appropriate animals. Our maximum
weight limit is 200 pounds - sometimes mom and even grandparents like to enjoy the fun.
What is the best time of day for a party?
Normally the best time would be around 10:00 for a morning party or 1:00/3:00 for an
afternoon party depending upon the age of the child and weather. If the child is
rather young, right after naptime seems to work out best. In the summer heat, of
course, it is best for an early morning or late afternoon party.
What age does my child have to be to have his picture taken?
Any age will do. If the child is too young to sit upright on the pony, we will
be happy to do a family picture which just might turn out to be a great photo for a
holiday. The digital “negative” (or JPEG) is always provided.
