Townsend's Warbler (and Pine Warbler) at Carlisle, Cumberland County, PA
Pennsylvania's fourth Townsend's Warbler appeared at a home outside of Carlisle around 1 January, and remained present
for several weeks. The homeowner Andy Green (a very gracious and engaging host) reported to me on my 2/18 visit that he estimated
over 200 birders had stopped by in the intervening weeks. Wow! The day I was there started off cold and cloudy but quickly
became mild and sunny, and the bird was quite accommodating all the while, visitng a suet feeder about once every 15 minutes
all morning.

Mr. Green also had a Pine Warbler visiting his feeders over the same time, and while this bird did not appear as frequently,
it was even more accommodating when it did...
