Red-necked Phalaropes in Lawrence County, PA
In early September a group of four Red-necked Phalaropes spent several days at a pond in southern Lawrence County. I
was lucky to be granted access to the site, and was able to make a long and very satisfying series of images of these birds
from the waterside on the morning of 9-11, which, without a doubt, are my best-ever of individuals of this species not in
breeding plumage.

The next picture was taken just as a light fog was beginning to clear...

There were also a few Pied-billed Grebes about the area... this was the best image I got of one of them:
