This molting White-rumped Sandpiper appeared at Independence Marsh on 8/27 and was present to at least 8/30, the time of this writing, with these photos made 8/28. It provided the marsh with its second record of White-rumped Sandpiper; interestingly, the first record was exactly four years ago to the day that these photos were made, when one put down briefly during a storm on 8/28/2006.
