Red-necked Phalarope at the Imperial Grasslands, Allegheny County, PA
This gorgeous female Red-necked Phalarope was a one-day wonder at the Imperial Grasslands, Allegheny County, on May 28.
This marked the third definitive record of this species for Allegheny County, possibly the fourth (there is some
dispute as to the identity of a bird that appeared during the passage of Hurricane Fran in 1996), and the second spring record.
