After several years of absence, a Loggerhead Shrike reappeared at a location in southern Adams County where the species formerly bred in early 2007. Later in 2007, as many as three birds were reported in the area, and at least one remains there in early 2008. The bird below proved to be an unimaginably cooperative photo subject there in early March.
