Meggie is an
eleven-year-old golden retriever who lives near the small town
of Germanton, N.C.
Her home is in the piedmont
of North Carolina, near Hanging
Rock State Park, but she loves the beach best of all. Here
she is at Atlantic
Beach in October 2004. Her favorite activities are digging
in the sand, riding the waves, and chasing tennis balls and frisbees.
After a long day of playing, you'll find her sacked out on the
deck.
Swimming in a pool is fun too!

the puppy who stole our hearts
One of Meggie's
other favorite places is anywhere on the Blue
Ridge Parkway. She loves to hike the mountain trails and
watch the horses with her favorite boy, Zack, at Moses
Cone Park. Afterward it's fun to relax or chase bubbles in
Blowing Rock, where
it seems everyone she meets is a Golden lover! They have the
best ice cream too!
