• The Krauss family:
Johann "Daniel" and Elisabeth (Hoffmann) Krauss and their children lived in Becherbach. Catharine Jaeger was born in the nearby village of Schönborn in 1815, and it is likely her family lived there in 1800 as well. In 1800 this was in the area claimed by France. Later it was part of the Kingdom of Bavaria. Today it's in the state of Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.

• The Eckert family:
Margaretha Eckert was born in Michelbach in 1848, and it is likely that her parents and grandparents lived there as well. The map shows Michelbach near Fränkisch Crumbach in the stat of Hessen (formerly Hesse-Darmstadt), the most likely of several different German Michelbachs.

• The Wenkel family:
Joseph "Conrad" Christoph Wenkel was born in Ebeleben, presently in the state of Thuringen, Germany. His wife, Henriette Bierwirth, was born in Großwenden in 1804.

• The Stumpf family:
Johann Heinrich and Eva Katharina (Hottes) Stumpf and their children lived in Gross Zimmern in the state of Hessen, Germany.

• The Lepp family:
George Philipp Lepp was born in Oppenheim. His third wife, our ancestor Johanna Leip, was born in nearby Nierstein. Oppenheim and Nierstein were in the region annexed by France, which subsequently became part of Hessen-Darmstadt after the defeat of Napoleon. Today they are in the state of Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.

• The Wehinger family:
The Wehinger family lived in Dornbirn, Vorarlberg, Austria for hundreds of years, beginning at least as early as 1600.
