Steamer Nann Smith, 1910

Post card from Nellie Bernitt in Marshfield to Will Kolm in Schuyler, Nebraska, postmarked February 24, 1910.

This steel steamer went into operation in 1908 carrying lumber from C.A.Smith's sawmill in Marshfield to California. The ship's capacity was 2,225,000 board feet of lumber and it pioneered the shipment of lumber in standard size packages.
