Della was born on her father's farm 8 miles east of Coffeyville in Montgomery County, Kansas on October 30, 1885. She was the daughter of James A. RAGSDALE and Phoebe Ann SIMMONS. She spent her childhood years in or near Coffeeville.

On October 29, 1907 in Independence, Montgomery County, Kansas she married Roy (William Roy) KNOX and they moved in together in Coffeyville, Kansas.

In the 1910 census, they are shown in Coffeeville on Dakota Street.

By 1920 the census shows them with their children at 910 1/2 Colorado Street in Coffeyville.

By 1924 Della had left Roy and moved (with her children) to Redlands in California.

The marriage of Della & Roy Knox was officially dissolved by divorce on July 12, 1926 in a court in San Bernardino County, California.

On September 10, 1926 in California Della married Bill (William Warren) HENNON.

During her second marriage she came to live in Pomona within Los Angeles County, California. Sometime later they moved to a new home in El Sereno (a suburb of Los Angeles) where they lived for many years.

Her last known place of residence before her death was Studio City, Los Angeles County, California.

She died on September 11, 1988 in Los Angeles County, California and was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Covina Hills, Los Angeles County, California.
