"Roy" was born on September 16, 1879. He was born a twin to his brother, Ray. He spent his childhood in Illinois, Nebraska, and Kansas.

At the taking of the U.S. census in June of 1900, he was living (and working) in the Leonard Weigard Household of Herrick Township, Knox County, Nebraska.

He soon moved to Kansas, where he married Della (Roseadelle) RAGSDALE. <Go there>

By 1907, Roy & Della were known to be living in Coffeyville, Kansas.

In the 1910 census, they are shown living in Coffeeville on Dakota Street. He was working as a farm laborer.

In the 1920 U.S. census he is shown with wife and children at 910 1/2
Colorado Street in Coffeyville.

He subsequently spent most of the remainder of his adult life in Southern Kansas at or near Coffeyville or nearby in Northern Oklahoma. He is known to have worked for a time as a brickyard worker.

The marriage of Roy & Della was officially dissolved by divorce on July 12, 1926 in a court in San Bernardino County, California.

By 1927, after the divorce, Roy was known to be living near Nowato in Oklahoma.

He died in January of 1967 at a rest home in Coffeyville, Montgomery County, Kansas.

He was buried at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville.

Roy and Roseadelle had the following children:

1. Forest Leon KNOX was born on July 24, 1910.

2. Art (Arthur Raymond) KNOX was born on April 4, 1912.

3. Fern (Fernadelle) KNOX was born on September 5, 1918.
