Floss was born in Bloomfield, Knox County, Nebraska on April 12,
1901.

She moved to Coffeyville, Kansas with her parents in 1903.

She appears in the 1910 U.S. census taken in Cherokee Township of Montgomery County, Kansas at age 4. Ten years later she still appears in Montgomery County, Kansas now at age 14.

She lived in this area of Kansas for 87 years.

She was a member of the Spring Valley-Dearing United Brethren Church.

She died on January 29, 1990 in Coffeyville, Montgomery County, Kansas.

She was buried at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville.
