At age 25, during the 1920 census, she was still with her parents in Montgomery County.

On December 31, 1923 in Coffeyville, Montgomery County, Kansas she married John McMeen KURTZ at the Kurtz farm on Route 1. John McMeen KURTZ was born in Walnut, Illinois on April 20, 1874.
