Was born in Elm Grove near Azen, Scotland County, Missouri on July 4, 1882.

He was a farm worker. He did farm work first in Northern Missouri (primarily in Scotland County) and then for a time in Oregon.

Later he came to work and live near Fresno in California.

Harry never married.

He died on July 27, 1957 in Fresno, Madera County, California and was buried at a cemetery in Laverne, Los Angeles County, California.
