George was born near Pierceville Iowa on July 27, 1851. He was a son of John Michael Rugh and Zeruah (Ruey) nee Williams.
Anna was born on January 10, 1874 in Missouri to William H. Tackaberry and Cynthia Ann (nee Downs).
They married on December 28, 1890.
George was a Farmer. He and Anna spent most of their lives on their farm in Scotland County, Missouri. They had the following children: Fern, Bessie, Tommy, & Ivan.
George died in Scotland County at age 72 on November 4, 1923. Anna died in Scotland County on April 17, 1938. They are buried together at the Prairie View Methodist Church Cemetery in Scotland County.
