She was born in the area of Scotland County Missouri known as Elm Grove near the small community of Azen on June 6, 1873. She spent her childhood on her father's family farm and following her marriage lived with her husband on his farm located nearby, all within Scotland County.

On October 18, 1894 in Scotland County, Missouri she married Harlan Ray BIGGS. Harlan Ray BIGGS was born in Missouri in March of 1872. He died on July 1, 1954 in Scotland County, Missouri.

Cora died on December 3, 1955 in Scotland County, Missouri.
