[Church photo from "City of Greensburg, a History" Published in 1949 by The Westmoreland County Historical Society]
The first church structure was erected on the property in 1795. The structure shown here (the third) was erected in 1885.
Colorful stained glass windows in this church can still be seen that were donated in memory of early members of the Rugh family.
One double window in the church was placed to honor Jacob Rugh Sr. (1761-1845) and his son John Rugh (1800-1858). To see that window click <<here>>.
Another was donated to the memory of Peter Rugh (1816-1870) by his widow, Elizabeth Rugh (nee Sheffler). To see that church window click <<here>>.
