After numerous viewings of "Pirates of the Caribbean", I've realized that the whole story is dependent on many things happening "just so". With that thought in mind, I developed a list (by no means exhaustive, though I've tried to make it so) that proposes the question "What If?". See if they don't get your brain befuddled by thinking about all of the coincidences this story is dependent on:
What if Will hadn't crossed over from England?
What if Elizabeth hadn't seen Will in the water?
What if Elizabeth's father hadn't bought her the dress with the corset?
What if Elizabeth hadn't put on the medallion or the corset?
What if the Black Pearl hadn't destroyed Will's ship when he was a boy?
What if Anamaria's ship hadn't sprung a leak close to Port Royal?

What if the two English soldiers could've swam and rescued Elizabeth?

What if Jack hadn't seen the medallion?
