Ellin had enjoyed horses for many years before her discovery
of "Riding in Lightness". Today, she utilizes the skills she has learned and perfected to train and teach others to
enjoy riding in a whole new way.
Beginning lessons at age 7, Ellin has experienced,
shown, trained and taught in many aspects of riding: saddleseat, hunters and jumpers, Western Pleasure, sidesaddle,
dressage and pleasure driving.
Instruction is based loosely on the lunge line technique of the
Spanish Riding School. Students can focus on their own balance, seat and use of aids without having to worry about guiding
the horse until these skills are mastered. Working in this system in all gaits provides a relaxed, unthreatening learning
atmosphere even for timid riders.
Ellin loves to teach beginner adults as well as children and enjoys
reintroducing returing riders to the art of horsemanship.
