Last
MonthÕs Activities:
At the beginning of January, members enjoyed seeing a beautiful sunset
while we walked along the beach at Del Mar and then sharing a wonderful meal
together at JakeÕs. Later in the month, we visited
Carlsbad and had a reasonably priced but superior meal while listening to/singing along with a
Bavarian accordian player. We had
a rousing time!

CATHOLIC ALUMNI CLUB INTERNATIONAL
ANNOUNCEMENTS Feb. 16-19, 2007- Catholic Alumni
Club Regional Weekend, Western Region: Carpinteria, CA EXPERIENCE THE AMERICAN RIVIERA & THE SANTA YNEZ
VALLEY Weekend Package includes 2
nights lodgings, 2 breakfasts, and a Saturday night buffet. An additional night
(Sunday) is optional. We will be staying at the Best Western Carpinteria Inn, a
mere ten minutes from Santa Barbara.
Tentative Schedule: Friday - Carprinteria, California - Nestled between
mountains and coast, it offers natural beauty, history & shopping. Saturday
- Santa Ynez Valley - Solvang, California -Picturesque city set amidst gently
sloped hills and mountains offering a taste of Denmark in CA. Visit to several
wine tasting rooms to sample their fine wines. Evening Mass at
Mission Santa Ines - Located near the center of Solvang is both a National and California
Historical Landmark. We will attend Chumash Indian Casino. Sunday - Santa Barbara, California -

Anyone interested in seeing a play during the week?
For your information, LambÕs PlayerÕs Theater will
offer 5 plays for $65 on Wednesday nights. They will be showing the following plays: The Secret Garden-1/26 thru 3/11;
Enchanted April- 3/30 thru 5/13; Joseph
and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat- 5/25 thru 7/8; Susan and God- 8/10 thru 9/23 and An Ideal Husband- 10/5 thru 11/18.

Join the CAC of
San Diego for a Polynesian-themed walk in beautiful Pacific Beach. Patti &
Wayne want to show us some of the tiki treasures in the beach community and a
short walk on Crystal Pier. After
the walk, weÕll have dinner at
Tony RomaÕs .

for fun and camaraderie as we watch the game together. WeÕll serve a potluck meal, so please bring YOUR MEAT TO BARBECUE, a
dish to share and your own drinks.

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 10 ValentineÕs Dinner/Art
Walk/Coffee Shop- North Park 5:00
PM ÒRay at NightÓ, a gallery walk held the second
Saturday of every month in North Park, is the largest monthly art event in San
Diego. From 6 to 9 p.m., youÕll find a wide variety of artwork on display
including paintings, sketches, sculptures, ceramics, blown glass, organic art
and jewelry. Well begin the evening with dinner. Meet at the Peking Inn , Address: 2877 University Avenue -
Phone: 619-295-2610 AT 5:00 WeÕll then begin the walk on Ray Street, one block away from the

COME AND HEAR THE La Jolla
Renaissance Singers and the San
Diego Youth Orchestra (same one that plays for the famous Vienna Nights in April) at St. Mary Magdalene Church,
1875 Illion St., 92110 Free
will donation for the concert. An
early dinner at SardiniaÕs. Italian Restaurant at 1129 Morena Blvd. will follow. The
restaurant offers a delicious,
reasonably priced cuisine with a
very friendly atmosphere.

Dan and Patti at the 5:15 Mass at St. JosephÕs (downtown at intersection of
Beech St.and Third Avenue). WeÕll
meet at the front steps of the church at 5:00 so that we can sit together. ItÕs very crowded for this service, so
try to get there early. After mass
and the blessing with ashes, weÕll walk to CaprellÕs Restaurant (a few blocks
away) for a light Lenten meal.

FEBRUARY 24 HARBOR
ISLAND WALK, DINNER 4:15 PM
MEET Dan and PATTI at the
eastern end of the island at the first driveway into t he parking lot . (800 block of Harbor Island Drive). WeÕll walk at a leisurely pace, from 4:30 to
5:30. After the walk , weÕll have dinner at the nearby Point Loma Seafoods at 2805 Emerson
St., 92106, a market and casual restaurant, where we can have a
meal Òfresh off the boatÓ and savor the view, which, of course, is beautiful. . To
