BeltCo/MW STM-3 "Shadow" Light Scout Fighter

The Monkeyworks "translation" of the Vaught Stealth Fighter concept is actually considered in some circles to be an improvement on the original. Although it lacks the advanced optical spoofer and deception plating of the Vaught design, its electronics suite is more than capable versus the common radar and tracking systems used in modern fighters. The spoofer enables the Shadow to remain undetected on enemy radar screens and optical scanners until very close range. What this means in modern combat is that the STM-3 can close with an enemy formation and launch a salvo of missiles which use their own radar-spoofing technology to become invisible electronically, then escape without ever taking accurate fire. The only drawback seems to be the high power requirements for the technology, which makes the Shadow a less than stellar dogfighter, should it be brought to bay by a particularly watchful opponent. Even then, the EMP mines are useful for breaking tracking and targeting locks, giving the STM time to escape.
