OSI/Cla-Inc. PF-12 "Dragon" Medium Fighter Another Cla-Inc. innovation is the plasma class of weapons, which utilize a form of the same field technology used in jump drives. Central Laser Arms has incorporated this technology into several weapon designs, and the prototype was meant simply to be a test platform for the various types. During the third test run, however, the new prototype was attacked by a renegade fighter group from the Stoll moons and in the resulting firefight, the design and its new plasma weapons completely destroyed 5 light and 2 medium fighters, and severely damaged 3 others before the pirates withdrew. Cla-Inc decided to mass produce the fighter on the spot. Heavier armor, better engines, and other improvements were made and the Dragon was born. The Plasma Torpedo is a nasty weapon. It stays around seemingly forever, never gives up, and packs almost as much killing power as one of the huge explosive PIDs carried by the Juggernaut. Needless to say, if it hits target, target is no longer a threat. As the guy packing these monsters, you'll get plenty of respect. Unfortunately, respect on the battlefield tends to translate into being a priority target. You've also got plenty of fighting power in your guns... and even an unguided version of the Plasma Torpedo... for those times when Plasma Torpedoes were not enough... ![]()
