Weapons
Above are the various weapon classes used in Raider Wars. Click on a weapons class for descriptions of the various types. Weapons are fired by pressing the weapon's selector button (or using the keypad weapon keys) and pressing button 1 on your joystick. Every ship is also equipped with a laser for the pilot, and a laser gunner station (the FAS-2b has 4 gunner stations) which can be manned by another player. The lasers are very weak weapons when used against another ship, but are able to destroy other weapons in flight, making them extremely useful for defense. The pilot's laser is fired by pressing button 2 on your joystick. Gunners fire their laser with button 1 on their joystick.

Aiming and Guidance
"Projectile" weapons, the various guns and cannon, use a Lead Computing Sight to aid in aiming. The Standard Rocket also uses the LCS. Line up the white boresight and the red lead angles to form a diamond, and fire.

Missiles and torpedoes have a guidance package, and only require the target be within a tracking cone long enough for the seeker to acquire. Different types have different guidance packages, some better than others. Put the target within the missile's tracking circle, and wait until the missile's tracking circle turns green and a tone sounds, meaning the seeker has acquired its target. You can then fire the missile or torpedo and it will try to hit the target until either the target is outside the range of the seeker head, or the weapon runs out of energy/fuel.

Decoy Rockets, Multi-Rockets, and PIDs are aimed by simply centering the target on the white boresight and firing.
