[fun title]

How do I relax? How do you relax? Everbody needs a little pHun , 'cuz all work and no play makes us all very dull units. I generally am into freestyle sports involving force, flow, and motion.

Track, Pump, Shred, and Carve.

Killer Wave I grew up on the beach in Florida and started hitting the surf at about age 12. Now I'm far removed from the coast and only get to get wet several times a year. But I can always check the swell and the surf and stay up on current conditions at theLa Jolla Surfing Page. There's weather maps, swell prediction models, a photo gallery, even instructions for how to fix your dings. Another good, aloha style, surfing reference is the Hawai`i Home Page. Check it out for some island flavor.

Probably the most complete and intense sufing links page that I've come accross is Mountain Man's Tube Links. It's incredibly complete and you must check it out!!

If you want to go on a surf trip, but don't know where to go, check out theOceanWeather Global Significant Wave Height Map. Pretty awesome!!

You can find Atlantic and Gulf Buoy and Ship readings at the OceanWeather site.

If the surf's beat, or the tide's high, and all you're left with is shorepound, skimboarding can be a lot of fun. Wait for the shorebreak to throw up onto the beach, run, jump, slide and CARVE!!!!!!. The I SKYM Page can tell you more.

[JJD Skim Icon]I skimmed alot, 'cuz it was flat a lot, growin' up in Florida. Here's a few pics.

If you like to hit the white stuff, you have a few choices. You can hit it on two boards, like most people (and almost all people over 30) do. If this is your fancy, check out the Ski Web Home Page. To find information on a lot of resorts, including conditions, lodging, lifts, terrain, etc., check out the SkiAmerica home page.

If you prefer to shred on a snowboard, like myself, check out one of the following sites:

Snowboard aerial
  • The IA Boarder has loads of links and graphics.

  • Beauty is a great e-zine from Sweden with loads of pics, links, features, even a chat area.

  • For a different slant on snowboard marketing hype, try Flakezine, the online criticism of snowboard marketing.

  • ALLSHOP, a spot to buy all kinds of snowboarding equipment.

  • The SnowPage, a starting link for many ski and snowboard sites.

  • The Gallery has loads of snowboarding GIFS.

  • Mathias' Page has info on Sweden snowboarding, where they can hit it 24 hours a day during some parts of the year.

  • JJD IconA couple of shots of me hittin' it this winter in Colorado.

I used to waterski a lot. I don't get to do it a lot now, but i still like to bury an elbow if I get a chance. The Water Skier's Web is a great site with loads of pics, tricks, and tips for barefoot, wakeboard, trick, slalom, etc.

I love to golf, but I'm a true hack. (My dream is to break 100, if that's any indication.) Before it becomes career limiting, maybe I should visit the GolfWeb to brush up on my technique. Another great site to visit is the Virtual Golfer. It has a practice tee, a leaderboard, and even a clubhouse, where you can chat with your buddies over a beer about the days folly. Visit the NBC Golf Tour for another mega-comprehensive golf site.

ESPNet Sportzone is a great site with the latest in scores, highlights, team and player specifics. If it's about sports and if it's news, it's here.

The Worldguide Health and Finess Forum offers info and links to info on cardiovascular exercise, weight training, diet, sports medicine and anatomy. A nicely constructed site.

The Real Beer Page might help you out if all that phun makes you thirsty. If you prefer something a little stiffer, try scotch.com, the only liquor with it's own domain name.
