Amidst the downed trees in back of the Cathedral, the statue of Christ still stands magnificnetly.
An armored cruiser and helicopters hover about the Crescent City... an unprecedented sight from Jackson Square.
Stuck at home after I drove into town to check out the Homestead, this was the view amidst the dark, quiet and lonely night. Before the lamp was off and stars began to shine so brightly.
While the view of the Hyatt is depressing, I find it even more depressing that the office building to the extreme right is the office building in which my insurance company is located. Insuarance pix to follow at some point, trust me!
This is just not your ordinary everyday view of this intersection at Esplanade and Rampart.
